1 Word of the Day Set One

2 Fiction (Noun) Definition: Literature in the form of prose, especially short stories and novels, that describes imaginary events and people. Sentence: Short Fiction often following a pyramid plot structure with a clear beginning, middle and end.

3 Deceptive (Adjective)
Definition: Giving an appearance or impression different from the true one; misleading. Sentence: “The cliff had proven deceptive.” (from “Saturday Climbing”).

4 Amontillado (Noun) Definition: A medium dry sherry which is a type of very strong wine. Sentence: “’I have my doubts,’” I replied; “’and I was silly enough to pay the full Amontillado price without consulting you in the matter.’” (from “The Cask of the Amontillado”).

5 Catacomb (Noun) Definition: An underground cemetery consisting of a subterranean gallery with recesses for tombs, as constructed by the ancient Romans.
