Why shouldn’t the apostles prepare their (own) defense? We need to appreciate the fact that what the apostles spoke was from the Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 3:1-2; 1 Corinthians 14:37; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; John 14:26; 16:13 What about us? What is our part? We need to study and be prepared. 2 Timothy 2:15; 1 Peter 3:14-15; 1 Peter 4:11

What are we praying for if the speaker hasn’t prepared himself? (1 Timothy 1:6-7)
Answer: a miracle.
1 Tim 1:7 - wanting to be teachers of the Law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions

What Is A Parable?
Nelson’s Bible Dictionary defines a parable as, “a short, simple story designed to communicate a spiritual truth, religious principle, or moral lesson; a figure of speech in which truth is illustrated by a comparison or example drawn from everyday experiences.”
It’s the use of images, characters and situations from everyday life to help lead us to TRUTH.
