How does the sun’s energy affect Earth’s atmosphere?

3. Energy at Earth’s Surface
Absorb = energy from light strikes atoms and causes them to vibrate.
The more an object's molecules move and vibrate, the hotter it becomes.
Reflect = light energy is NOT absorbed and instead bounces off the object
Radiate = light energy is absorbed by atoms and sent back out as heat

Think about the greenhouse effect simulation we examined today. What could be a possible impact of the greenhouse effect on the water cycle? Record your idea on a notecard and give to Mrs. Burke when you leave.
