Aims… To reduce the number of falls experienced by people aged 65 years and over. To reduce serious injury as a result of a fall. To improve or maintain the quality of life in the over 65 years

A falls prevention programme should be:
Simple and easy to follow. Based on best practice and research. Be multi-factorial and have a multidisciplinary approach. Look at the internal and external risk factors that contribute to a fall.
