RETINA: lining of the eye, contains receptor cells

FOVEA: center of the visual field packed with cones. Sharpest vision
PERIPHERY: edges of the retina—side vision (peripheral)
BLIND SPOT: area of the retina that contains no receptors because it is where the axons leave the eye to go to the brain
