County Lines – safeguarding advice for parents and carers
NCA guidance and definition: "County Lines is a term used to describe gangs and organised criminal networks involved in exporting illegal drugs into one or more importing areas [within the UK], using dedicated mobile phone lines or other form of “deal line”. They are likely to exploit children and vulnerable adults to move [and store] the drugs and money and they will often use coercion, intimidation, violence (including sexual violence) and weapons. "

There are several ways to report concerns around a child or vulnerable person you suspect is being targeted and exploited through county lines. Crimestoppers is the anonymous reporting phone line for anybody to use. First response should be the first port of call for children in Staffordshire – Concerns can also be raised about both children and adults with your Neighbourhood Policing Team’s Harm Reduction Hub, who work closely with the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).
