Geography Do you know which country is located
exactly in the centre of Europe? If not, you should read it as soon as possible Poland is situated in the central part of Europe. Warsaw is both the largest city and the capital of Poland. The longest river is called the Vistula and almost divides Poland into two separate parts. The south of Poland is dominated by steep hills and mountains. Rysy is the highest mountain at meters above sea level. In the north there are a lot of lakes, small hills and plains.

In Poland we have a lot of interesting universities. For example, the Jagiellonian University in Cracow is the oldest one and every year students from all over the world come there to study their favourite subjects . Cracow, in the southern Poland, is one of the most well-known and historical Polish and European cities. Poland is a friend of all European members, that is why Polish citizens decided to join the European Union in 2004.
