1. Andrew Lloyd Webber Composer of the Month born 22 March 1948
Andrew Lloyd Webber is the world’s most successful living composer having written some of the most successful musicals of modern times including Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard, Cats and Starlight Express.
He is most famous for the three musicals he wrote with lyricist Tim Rice in the early 1970s: Joseph, Evita and Jesus Christ Superstar.
He was made a Lord in 1997 and is currently working on a musical version of the film “School of Rock”
