What is the Cabinet? Important powerful part of the Executive Branch
It is made up of the heads of 15 different departments

History of the Cabinet The presidential Cabinet dates back to the first American President, George Washington. He had a cabinet of 4 people: Secretary of State, Secretary of the Treasury, Secretary of War, and Attorney General These four Cabinet positions are still the most important to the President to this day

Cabinet members Cabinet members are chosen by the President and then confirmed by the Senate. The President can remove Cabinet members at any time. Cabinet members can’t be holding any other position in office.

The Cabinets role Advise the President on any subject relating to the duties of each members position. Do not make laws, but shape how the laws are implemented
