This week we have been learning about the importance of keeping our Earth clean and healthy. We’ve discussed how we can reduce, reuse, and recycle in our daily lives. We have also continued our animal unit by learning the characteristics of mammals and insects!
I can’t believe we are down to our final five weeks of school! I’m so excited for each of the kids to move up to 2nd grade, but it is always sad to see a great group of kids leave. We have a lot going on here at NC, here are a list of important dates:
April 26th- Fun Fair at Broadway Elementary
April 26th- 1st Grade goes to Kyle Park for Tipp City Arbor Day celebration
May 10th- Final day to turn in reading logs!
May 16th- Pizza Party with Mrs. Barker for all students who turn in 20 reading logs : )
May 17th- Pretzel Day
May 17th- 1st Grade Students visit Broadway to meet the staff and tour the school!
May 24th- 1st Grade Field Day/Kona Ice (Yum!)
May 27th- No school
May 30th- Final Day of School
