2 Apathy noun lack of feeling or of interest
Salome’s apathy towards the boy falling led everyone to believe that she did not like him.

3 arbitrate verb  to settle a disagreement after hearing the arguments of both sides After hearing both sides, Victor arbitrated that pink was the best color.

4 astute adjective having or showing understanding and the skill to make good choices or decisions Bryan’s astute knowledge on the subject caused his group to be confident in his decision.

5 permanent adjective  lasting or intended to last for a very long time : not temporary or changing Some parents do not like tattoos because they are permanent.

6 persist verb   to continue to do something in spite of opposition, warnings, or pleas When the students persisted to talk in class, they lost their chance to receive tickets.

7 perturb verb to disturb greatly especially in mind
The students were perturbed when they were called down to the principal’s office.

8 robust Adjective being strong and vigorously healthy
The robust weight lifter won the competition.

9 rupture verb a break in peaceful or friendly relations
a breaking or tearing apart (as of body tissue)  Her stitches ruptured during her yoga class.

10 species noun a class of things of the same kind and with the same name
Cats and dogs are two different species.

11 status noun state or condition with respect to circumstances.
