2. What is Xtranormal?
Xtranormal is an online movie production studio. This tool allows you to create movies by typing in a script. When creating a movie, Xtranormal provides various characters ranging from celebrities to political figures. The main tool that you will use in creating your movie is creating the words for the characters. Xtranormal does the rest by producing the movie for you.

Students have the opportunity to create conversations centered around any content
Teachers can use a video to introduce a lesson
Students can use Xtranormal for presentations in the classroom
Specifically for social studies teachers can use Xtranormal to demonstrate a historical conversation or political event

5. How I use Xtranormal in my classroom
During last semester I decided to use a different method to teach Goal 3 of the NCSCS for Civics and Economics. Goal 3 covers the concepts of state and local government. However, across North Carolina this goal remains to be the lowest in proficiency. So in teaching this goal I used Xtranormal where the students created a video showing the relationship between a branch of government of the state and national governments. Below is the video I used to introduce the assignment
