2 Two-Way Frequency Tables
* A two-way frequency table shows two categories of characteristics, one in rows and the other in columns. The number in each cell gives the frequency of the appearance of two characteristics together. To calculate probabilities from a frequency table, totals are needed for the rows and columns.The characteristics represent events, and the frequency numbers represent the number of outcomes.

3 Ex: Lets create a two-way frequency table for this class by having each student select their favorite activity out of the choices: video games, playing sports, or watching television, and select their favorite subject in school out of the choices: math, english, science, or history. Next, consider the following events. T: The student prefers watching television. V: The student prefers playing video games. E: The student’s favorite subject is English. M: The student’s favorite subject is math. Compare and Are the events T and M independent? Compare and Are the events V and E independent?
