Invigorate public and stakeholder interest in and awareness of First 5 LA initiatives
Offer greater Communications Capacity in support of First 5 LA grantees
Provide utility to all First 5 LA departments and support for key projects

3. Strategies
Use the web as the key information hub for First 5 LA’s initiatives and accomplishments
Establish first5la.org as a useful aggregator of content and links on early child development
Create a dynamic, scalable web platform which meets current needs and enables efficient future development
Leverage existing web content, internal projects/processes, and technology systems to maximize efficiency and value

4. Recommendations Conduct full redesign of first5la.org
Implement content management system
Implement enhanced tool set
Pending partnership with an Interactive Agency, tools would include:
integrated site search
search engine optimization
site analytics
communications
advocacy tools

5. Action Plan Issue RFQ for interactive partner for:
Front-end redesign
Integration of new and existing tools
Implementation of content management system
Develop content strategy and desired toolset
Determine framework for Spanish-language content
Review RFQ submissions, select finalists
