This session is more about demonstrating some of the possibilities of SSRS and less about how to actually accomplish those tasks, though we can certainly discuss any of these in more detail.

9. Individualized Letter
In addition to standard data reports which mirror an Excel spreadsheet, SSRS reports can be used to create individualized form letters for printing or to be used in conjunction with other tools to be ed or uploaded to document tracking.
Billing Statements, 1098T documents, and Financial Award Letters are all examples of letters that we commonly create in SSRS.
These can be designed in any number of ways using subreports, multiple datasets, or other processes depending on the task at hand.

SSRS allows for a number of other functions including charts and maps.
Using the Google API, you can get spatial data for your addresses and then create maps with that spatial data.

21. This has some interesting applications for creating visual representations of donor or applicant data. It can also be used to query those datasets by distance. For example, a query to find all donors within 50 miles who have given $x dollars.
Some of these data visualizations are a little nicer in Power BI, but SSRS is still a great way to create data visualizations as a regular component of reports.
