10 Lesson 1 “Ensure that all STP Trainees are fully aware that the mock OSFA experience is a useful formative experience regardless of specialism and year group” In /30 STP trainees attended 1 doing elective 1 arranging elective 2 didn’t realise it was relevant to them In /28 STP trainees attended 1 at university 1 too busy to find time to write station 1 not heard from In 2017 (31/33) STP trainees attended 1 on maternity leave 1 off sick In 2018 expect 30/30/STP trainees to attend

11 Lesson 2 “Asking STP Trainees to write OSFA Stations in mixed subject and year groups worked very well, as there resulted in good appreciation of differences with patient facing and non‑patient facing specialist areas.”
