2. Things to bring Remember, you are only going away for 1 day!
Make sure you bring any medication (inhalers, epipen etc.) required
The forecast at present is cloudy but it will be warm. We would suggest bringing both sunscreen and a light waterproof jacket
Bring money to buy your breakfast, lunch and dinner
Please ensure you are drinking plenty of water throughout the day
Make sure you can store your purse/wallet/phone etc. securely, as if they fall out on a ride, it is unlikely you will get them back. Please also make sure you wear sensible shoes that wont fall off on a ride

3. Journey to Alton Towers – 02:00 Wednesday 26th June
You must be at the recreation centre no later than 01:55 to check in
Seatbelts must be worn throughout the journey
Please keep food and drink to a minimum on the bus. You will not enjoy your day if you are feeling unwell. Please also be respectful of each other while on the bus
Energy drinks and music speakers are not allowed. These will be confiscated and returned to pupils when we get back to the school
There should be no mess on the bus. Any litter on any bus will result in less time in the park for our pupils. We expect the highest standards with this
We will make a minimum of one long stop on the way down. Pupils wishing to change before they get to the park should use facilities at the service station
The buses will not be staying at the park so pupils must take everything they need for the day with them as they wont be able to return to the buses after we are off

4. While at Alton Towers
Mr Latimer will collect tickets from the ticket office and will then hand these out to you. You may then make your way into the park when the gates open
You must check-in with your group leader between 12:30-13:10. Your group leader must see you in person during this time. Staff will be positioned between the Smiler and Oblivion
You should have lunch in the park (there are various restaurants) as the first stop on the way back up the road will be more than two hours into the journey.
You should meet outside Towers Trading Co. at 16:30. Please do not be late. It is your responsibility to make sure you are there on time

5. While in the Park
You must be in a group – no one should be in the park alone. If you are concerned that you do not have a group please alert your group leader.
If you need to get in touch with a teacher for any reason your bus leader will give you a contact number on the journey down, or speak to a member of the Alton Towers staff who will be able to contact us.
You are representing Bo’ness Academy while there and the highest standards of behaviour are expected – regardless of what other school pupils may or may not be doing round about you.
Most importantly – HAVE FUN!!

6. Journey home – 17:00
The same rules for the bus apply on the way home as on the way done. Be respectful to each other and do not make any mess
We will be making two stops on the way home – one at around 19:30 (30 minutes) for dinner and another at around 22:00 (15 minutes) for the toilet. Please take full advantage of the toilet facilities at both of these stops
The exact arrival at the school will depend on traffic, but you will be kept informed so you can arrange your pick up from school. Mr Latimer will also update Twitter for parents/carers to check

7. Check in Zone between 12:30 & 13:10
