<month year> Introduction The DSE Registered Location element and Device position Information element used for representing the Device Location Information TLV field in current .11af specification is based on RFC 3825, which which has already been obsoleted by a new RFC 6225. The LCI encoding has been revised by RFC 6225 (see ). The main change is the use of LatUnc, LongUnc and AltUnc for uncertainty instead of using resolution fields for latitude, longitude and altitude values. The use of an encoding format in .11af which can correctly express an arbitrary location of a STA and can be mathematically converted into other industry-wide used formats, like XML, used by e.g. the device to database interface protocols, is critical > Page 2
