6. Through creating this image, however, I am reminded of a love resurrected in us that subverts all of this. I was inspired by the quote of a revolutionary, "They tried to bury us. They didn't know we were seeds." Sometimes I feel like we are buried - in injustice, criticism, fear, separation and even death - but what is our faith without our hope in resurrection?
Our hope and prayer for Nexus in this period of the unknown is that we cling to the hope that as we are planted, God's love, the love that overcomes separation, doubt and fear, is resurrected through our actions, our ministries and through the church. I am excited about convocation in Michigan to be a time for us to be nurtured in some rich soil, trusting that we will sprout, bear fruit, and manifest the radical love of Jesus.
