Portfolio Definition A portfolio is a container of documents that provide evidence of someone's knowledge, skills, and/or dispositions. (p.203) Barton & Collins (1993), Bird (1990) A collection of your work and achievements during your academic career. There is a difference between traditional portfolios and Electronic portfolios. Electronic portfolios use technologies . You can collect and organize portfolio artifacts in many media types (audio, video, graphics, and text).

Creating e- portfolio , step by step
To create your e-Portfolio, click on the Create a Site button. Simply go through the steps provided on the screen to fill out your site information: name, category, description, collaboration option, and design. Most of these things are self explanatory. Some are not.

Site Name - Give your portfolio a name! "Your name's e-Portfolio.
Site Theme - this is the design you choose for your site which can be changed later if you prefer.

You create your e - Portfolio using Web 2.0 platforms
When you start your e- Portfolio, create a Home or Welcome page. You can put your photo in the portfolio. Tell people what kind of site this is, and relate a little about yourself. Create a page for all of your General Education courses
