Botvin Health Connections is a new resource designed to help teachers connect important health issues to their LST lessons.
The resource is structured to be flexible and not over burden lesson planning or schedules.
It contains 3 main sections:
Background for the teacher on the health issue (in this case e-cigarettes and vaping
LST lesson connections for teachers to enhance the lesson by connecting the skills or lesson content to the health risk. Lesson connections are available to age appropriate levels on the topic. In the case of e-cigarettes and vaping, teachers will find connections for LST Elementary 1 – 3, Middle School 1 – 3, and LST High School.
