WPA and TOs Minimum of 5 TOs for a road race
2 Refs 2 Timekeepers 1 Results Official Larger events require more Tos Split finishes for 1200 in 10km and 2500 in others Multiple distances on the day (Some may be shared) The Referees may not come from the Club But Results Officials and technically even Timekeepers may WPA allocates TOs twice a year February to July & August to January Changes managed by WPA TO Committee (typically Kevin Harlock) TOs are paid by the Club Post event reports Immediate participants and serious medical report Full report within two weeks Other Mandated Officials Medical, Course Measurer, Safety Officer,

It is far from exhaustive Preferential rates and discounts have not been negotiated, that is up to the clubs It is in fact really only a guideline for new Organisers Speak to other Clubs for their ideas and sources

Road Running Entry Fees
0 t0 13km Jnr R50 Snr R70 13,1 to 20km R90 20,1 to 27km R110 27,1 to 35km R130 R35,1 to 49km R170 49,1 + in consultation with WPA (RRC) Clubs may charge less Clubs may also apply for exemption if they can show that they will honestly not break even. Excessive prize money, non-discetionary donations, need to make large profits should not be transferred to the runners.

R Insufficient toilets R500 per toilet less than 1 per 100 budgeted athletes Failure to implement litter policy Failure to clean route (club) R500 for first offence Failure to use a registered course measurer 2x Equivalent payment to WPA appointing the official Failure to use registered technical officials Charging in excess of the stipulated maximum race entry fees The difference in income between the fee charged and the fee allowed Awarding less than 15% of income of entry fees as prize money The difference between the prize money awarded and 15% of entry fees based on number of participants from the previous year ATHLETE FINES Failure to display two numbers 2x Temp licence fee for first offence Littering (individual) Warning for first offence R500 for second offence Running without entering 2x Entry fee for a first offence plus disciplinary action by club.
