OPDC signed strategic collaboration agreement with the UNDP Thailand and other stakeholders to set up Government Innovation Lab
This is a new methodology that has never been implemented in public sector, thus difficulty in communication is expected. There are also limitation in related experts and knowledge.

What is your project about?
Design thinking methodology would apply in pilot projects for 4 main ministries aiming for service development which involves its recipient in all development processes.
The 4 pilot projects will address cueing systems at public hospitals, ISO certification processes, registration and approval of new herbal medicine products, and resolve people's problems at the district level

Experience in Finland Government Lab development brings understand that effective operation consists of various supportive factors and must pay attention in every technical step.

Since you’ve started, how has what you are doing changed?
I Team to involve in every process , learning by doing. Also directly contact to recipient to get to know their satisfaction, need, problem, and suggestion.
As it is still in work in process, there is not much to be seen; however, the i Team mindset is noticeably changed. To this it means they pay more attention to recipient and stakeholder opinions, leads to believe that the Design Thinking would really help improve public service that meets recipient's need.
There is government official opposing mindset on any change that relate to their responsibility, especially from outsider.
Design thinking is a new concept for officer that would be difficult for them to learn.
