I. Class Assignments - Quizzes
Each quiz will test the reading that has been assigned for that day or the next few days Will consist of two questions like the sample questions of which you will answer one How to prepare for the quiz If you miss a quiz Why are we using this type of quiz? Watch out for readings in addition to K&P

II. Class Survey What do we think we know about crime and crime prevention? Administer survey Designed just to test our knowledge of a few items related to crime and the criminal justice system Expect to administer the same survey at the end of the course

III. Law-Abiding People
What does it mean to be “law-abiding?” What do we call people who are not “law-abiding?” Do you consider yourselves to be law-abiding? So should we consider you folks all to be criminals? Why not?

IV. Key Points to Understand from Today
Most of us break some laws, some quite frequently Some of the laws we break frequently are quite serious and breaking them can have really terrible consequences So, calling others criminals while we consider ourselves not to be criminals is quite arbitrary and inappropriate
