SAM transport by Gap4 in S. cerevisiae cells. Transport of SAM in wild-type cells, the sam3Δ strain transformed with the empty vector, the sam3Δ strain complemented with ScSAM3, or the sam3Δ strain complemented with GAP4 is shown. Results of one representative experiment are shown, and the error bars show the standard deviations of three different transformants. All transformants were statistically significantly different from the wild type, and expression of both SAM3 and GAP4 showed a statistically significant difference from the strain transformed with the empty plasmid.
