Optimised Recovery After Trauma Program (ORAT)
Grant Christey MTS Symposium 5 April 2019
2
What’s the issue? Patients with severe or multi-system injuries require integrated, specialised care to improve outcomes, wherever they are. Single organ services may not be able to routinely do this. Information loss impacts on patient care. Despite complexity there are common issues that need to be routinely addressed.
3
What is ORAT? A cumulative checklist for care Consistent elements
Accessible, updatable, translatable Real-time evidence base for MDT Can inform multiple care providers: medical nursing, allieds, rehab, primary care; during and after admission.
