Phytoponics
Developed by engineering student Adam Dixon
Took a novel low-cost hydroponics system to market
Phytoponics received funding from Cardiff University through our Start-up Awards as well as mentoring support
Founder, Adam Dixon won the UN’s inaugural Young Champion of the Earth prize for his innovation to tackle food insecurity and habitat loss.
In 2018 Phytoponics raised an additional £300,000 in funding through existing shareholders and new Angel investors.

ALPACR
developed by Dan Swygart with help and support of University
Founder, Dan Swygart received funding, mentoring and office space from Cardiff University’s Enterprise & Start-up Team.
Dan won the Virgin Voom competition in 2017 and received a mentoring session from Sir Richard Branson.
