Objective : Simultaneous detection and quantification of glucose and bilirubin on a paper platform
Device fabrication by origami paper cutting
Whatman 1 filter paper as raw material

Simultaneous quantification of glucose and bilirubin from plasma

Brown denotes Glucose
Greenish yellow denotes Bilirubin
Image acquisition using Digital camera
Post processing of images in Image J
For Glucose : Glucose oxidase, peroxidase , iodide
For Bilirubin : Diazotized sulfanilic acid, Caffeine-benzoate-acetate mixture, NaOH
Testing with human plasma samples
Validation with gold standard laboratory methods
Results show good matching with laboratory methods (within 10% error band)
Development of calibration curves using artificial standards
