1. More than one appraiser
Some assignments make use of assistance from another appraiser or expert. Keep records of such assistance in workfile.
When using another appraiser
If assistance is significant, identify appraiser in certification and disclose the assistance provided in the report
If assistance is not significant, disclose assistance provided in the report but do not identify appraiser in certification
When using non-appraiser expert
Do not identify in certification
Disclose assistance provided in the report.
Signing appraiser responsible for relying on work of others
Must have reasonable basis for believing those assisting are competent
Must have no doubt that the work provided by others is credible
