Reports are great tools in OU Campus – this presentation will give you a review of what’s possible in the system, plus maybe some things you didn’t know!

3. Reports Basics Use reports to gather site-wide information
Level 9 and 10 admins can see all reports
Levels 0-8 won’t see Site Check or Custom Reports
Required Actions contains two reports
Broken Pages
Out-of-Sync Pages
Custom Reports contains nine reports

For some basics, remember that some reports are available to everyone. Two reports (Site Check and Custom Reports) are only available to level 9 and 10 admins.
While there are 8 items in the Reports menu, some of the items in the menu contain multiple reports within, so there are actually 17 reports in all you can run.

4. Reports Basics Administrators see more data than an end-user Example
End-users see only their pages in Checked-Out Content
Administrators see all checked-out pages
All reports can be exported as a CSV file
Even for the reports that all users can run, Administrators will see site-wide information, whereas lower-level users will only see items that they have access to, or just their own content (depending on the report)
Each report can be filtered and sorted within OU Campus, and they can all be exported to a CSV file.

5. Let’s Run Some Reports! First we need something to report on.
Login as all three of your users:
“user,” “approver,” and “admin”
Check out files, schedule a few publishes, submit files for workflow, and recycle a page or two.
We want every report to be filled with information.
Before we get into the hands-on portion of the activity, we need to log in as all of our different users to populate our workshop environments with new information. So let’s take a few minutes to do that.
