1 As you begin take a moment to quiet your mind and open your heart
As you begin take a moment to quiet your mind and open your heart. Feel God in your soul, hear him in your mind. Push all bad and unkind thoughts away. He is with you always, walk closer to God. Slide 1: Focus Slide

2 Then all the disciples fled.
Matthew 26: 47-56 In Gethsemane Judas came to Jesus with a crowd. Judas told the high priests the one who I kiss shall be he. Then he kissed Jesus on the cheek. Then one of the twelve drew his sword and struck a servant of a high priest’s ear. Jesus said to the crowd, ‘’As against a robber you have come out with swords and clubs to seize me. I sat with you daily at the temple with you and you did not lay your hands on me.’’ Then all the disciples fled. Slide 2: Bible/Scripture Slide

3 When Judas did this he betrayed Jesus and failed to resist his temptation. Sometimes we are tempted to do wrong as well. When we resist temptation we turn away from sin and turn closer to God. Sinfulness comes from hatred, greed, envy, and more. When we turn to God we are set to the path of heaven. We should apologize when we do wrong. So we can enlighten our relationship with those whom we have offended. We can say sorry to God in prayer and confession. That helps us grow in our relationship with God and that makes it easier to go to heaven. We should not compare ourselves to others in this process. When we do good we grow closer to God. Slide 3: Reflect on the Scripture

4 When we sin we think about ourselves when we should be thinking about others. What situations have you thought about yourself instead of others? Slide 5: Reflection Question

5 Have we sinned not felt sorry
Have we sinned not felt sorry? We can easily ask for God’s forgiveness now. Slide 6: Concluding Prayer

6 (We pray in these words or in our own)
Dear Jesus, Guide me to make good decisions, show me the path to your loving care. Help me to confess my sins. Show me how to open my heart to you. Slide 4: Reflection Question

7 Amen. Slide 7: Amen!
