Physical map- shows mountains, rivers ,and lakes.
Topographic map-has contour lines instead of colors to show landscape.

3. Economic or resource map road map climate map thematic map
Economic or resource map- specific types of natural resources in an area
Road map-shows major and, minor highways and roads
Climate map –shows weather of an area and, climate zones
Thematic map-focuses on a special topic or specific theme

4. Latitude and longitude
Latitude –has lines that run east to west
Longitude –lines run north to south
*measured in degrees
*latitude goes first , then longitude

5. Scale
Shows the distances between two locations
