Arts Integration Arts Integration – ELA Math Integration
Prefix rap (de, im, dis, re, - students will continue working on this Math Integration Solving expressions using substitution – use “Worksheets Don’t Grow Dendrites” book by Carole Marsh for ideas.

ELAGSE6RI1: Cite textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text. ELAGSE6RI2: Determine a central idea of a text and how it is conveyed through particular details; provide a summary of the text distinct from personal opinions or judgments. ELAGSE6RL3: Describe how a particular story’s or drama’s plot unfolds in a series of episodes as well as how the characters respond or change as the plot moves towards a resolution. ELAGSE6W3: Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, relevant descriptive details, and well -structured event sequences.

Daily Activities Monday, March 18
I-Ready Growth Check, individual conferencing. Tuesday, March 19th - Wednesday March 20th Benchmark 3 for ELA and for Math classes. As students finish, they will continue working on I-Ready Thursday - focus will be comprehension passages, main idea, details, and citing textual evidence. Students will also begin working on INB getting notes caught up for review over spring break. Friday: continued work on passages, oral reading

Narrative Essays Begin preparation and graphic organizers for narrative essays. Students will begin by writing narrative paragraphs, topics will be varied.

6th Math learning targets
Write and solve equations with variables using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Students will work on these concepts throughout the week. I can solve algebraic equations.

Weekly activities Monday, I-Ready Growth check
Tuesday/Wednesday – Benchmark 3, students who complete early will work on I-Ready. Student conferencing Thursday and Friday – notes and models for solving algebraic equations. Students will work on foldable and graphic organizer.
