YOU are the best recruiter for ISI! So, as you work alongside of other people who are “volunteering”, maybe they would want to consider joining the ISI team. 6 ISI FIELD TEAM Employee Benefit Summary
Once you start receiving a paycheck and you are working 24 or more hours per week as an employee of ISI……then benefits are available. Two exceptions are Retirement 403B Plan & Voluntary Term Life Insurance – details below. This is a summary of benefits currently available to Field Team employees budgeted to work 24 or more hours each week. The ISI Employee Handbook governs employee benefits of ISI personnel. Details are found in the individual plan documents. The People Services Department is the source for any of this information. All benefits are reviewed and considered annually. Employees will be notified of any changes to these benefits. Group Health Plan ISI sponsors a group medical plan through GuideStone Financial Resources. While in the Partnership Development phase of employment, field employees become fully eligible to enroll once they have consistent receipted income that is sufficient to sustain premium payments. See the ISI Employee Handbook for details of the participation policy and eligibility rules. Currently the group plan consists of 5 options – four PPO options of various deductible levels, and one high deductible health plan qualifying for use with an HSA. See the GuideStone spreadsheet for details about the five options, including premiums. Health Savings Account ISI sponsors a health savings account through Optum for those who participate in the high deductible health plan mentioned above.

7 Dental Plan Voluntary dental insurance is available for all eligible staff who wish to pay the premium for themselves or their dependents as a payroll deduction. A regular dental insurance plan is provided by GuideStone and is available in every state. There is an additional choice of a network discount plan called Alpha in Colorado, CarePOS for other locations throughout the country. Vision Insurance Plan Voluntary vision insurance is available through Superior Vision for all eligible staff who wish to pay the premium for themselves or their dependents as a payroll deduction. Flexible Spending Arrangements ISI sponsors Flexible Spending Arrangements (FSA) which allows an eligible employee to elect specific amounts be withheld pre-tax from their paycheck and set aside for payment of particular medical, daycare, and premium expenses. Life and AD&D Insurance ISI currently provides life insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage through Lincoln Financial. The amount of coverage is $20,000 each coverage for the employee only. Short-Term Disability STD coverage is a component of the life insurance coverage above and the premium is paid by ISI for Field Staff. Voluntary Life Insurance Lincoln Financial currently allows eligible ISI employees to purchase additional Life/Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage for themselves and their dependents at their own expense. This benefit starts 30 days from their date of hire. That means the employee would need to send a check to ISI each month to pay the monthly premium until the employee is receiving their paycheck; then this would become a payroll deduction. Premiums are age-based and various amounts of coverage are available. Worker’s Compensation All employees of ISI, regardless of hours budgeted, are covered by Worker’s Compensation. Injuries are to be immediately reported to People Services at the ISI home office. Vacation & Leave Vacation, sick, and personal leave are available to eligible field staff members. Leave will be agreed upon between the staff person and their immediate supervisor. As a general guideline, field staff should expect to take leave in conformity with the current policy in the Employee Handbook. (No paperwork will be required to back up such leave approval and no specific accounting for leave taken is required to the home office.) Holidays ISI currently offers ten paid holidays each calendar year. Retirement Savings Eligible field staff (5 – 40 hours) may contribute up to the Federal allowed amount of their annual gross salary to an ISI-sponsored retirement savings plan through GuideStone Funds 403(b). Contributions may commence once receiving paychecks. From your staff ministry account, you may elect to match the first 5% of contributions you make to this plan through payroll deduction.
