Hard to believe that it is the last full month of the school year! It seems like yesterday when we had the first day. May is an exciting time of the year! During the week of May 6th many schools will be celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week. This is a great time to let your child’s teacher know how much you have appreciated everything they have done to help your child grow and learn. Our teachers work so hard and often get little thanks. Please reach out to them and let them know they are appreciated! May 8th is Nurses’ Appreciation Day. Our school nurse takes care of cuts and illnesses all year long! They play a key role in keeping our students healthy. Please reach out to our school nurse, Ms. Flowers, and let her know she is appreciated! We have a host of field trips this month. Our 2nd graders will be going to Devine Acres on May 3rd. Fifth graders have two trips this month. Their first will be to their annual pool party at the NEISD Sports Complex.
