Maintain end-end speech transmission quality
Area of studies Maintain end-end speech transmission quality In collaboration with SG12 & FG-CarCOM Vehicle gateway platform Ubiquitous multimedia applications Remote office, remote sensing, etc As a part of Home Network in NGN In collaboration with SG13, JCA-HN and the expected new FG on Smart Grid Total communications concept for including Telecom/ICT accessibility in the design phase of new standards... ... but also retrofit where needed

Recent achievements and Future plans
Dynamic coordination of signal processing equipment over telephone connections Rec. G (approved Nov 2009) In cooperation with ITU-T SG12 & FG-CarCOM Vehicle Gateway Platform Service and functional requirements of vehicle gateway platforms (F.VGP-REQ) Multimedia/Home Network applications Virtually organized Home Network (H.VHN) Telecom/ICT accessibility Telecom accessibility guidelines (ITU-T F.790) Accessibility checklist for new Recs. G (12/09) - Mechanism for dynamic coordination of signal processing functions [NOT G ]

Conclusions and suggestions
ITU-T SG 16 will continue to develop multimedia standards for networked car applications as the cross-over area of CarCOM, Home Network and, potentially, the expected smart grid studies Ultimate target is the end-users’ satisfaction Duplication of standardization work should be avoided Coordination/harmonization among SDOs is encouraged SG 16 is open for collaboration with you
