Scientific Method Put the following steps in order for a logical method for solving problems: Law Observations Theory Hypothesis Experiments

Observations – uses all senses, not just sight.
Hypothesis – explanation based on observations; can be supported or refuted by experimentation. Theory – explanation that has been verified many times by many scientists; generally accepted to be true; parts may be revised. Law – statement of fact meant to explain an action; accepted as true and universal.

So what’s the difference between a theory and a law??
Both are considered true Both are used to predict events BUT… Theories are complex – they explain a set of events. Theory of evolution, theory of relativity Laws govern a single action – often with an equation. Accepted at face value. Law of gravity, law of conservation of mass
