Mutually Exclusive – Two events that cannot happen at the same time.
Ex. If a number is chosen from a bag with numbers 1 – 10 you cannot choose a number that is both 5 and even. You can choose a number that is five or even. What is the probability of choosing a number that is five or even? # of possible outcomes = # of favorable outcomes
