As our Armed Forces continue to return home, NOW is the time to be an angel — ready and waiting to assist in whatever ways you can to help with their transition to civilian life.

Highlight the ALA as the "premiere" or "elite" organization of choice-trigger/peak their interest
Remind others continually that you are proud to be a member
Enforce the concept that it is an HONOR to be eligible to join

Remember-current members renew when they believe the ALA continues to offer them something of value
Try something new - try a “free” membership drawing to anyone who has paid their dues by September 30th

Poll your membership – Act, then say “We listened to your suggestions”

6. VALUE OF MEMBERSHIP
Recognize the value of each member for whatever single task she takes on
Aggressively promote membership by use of the 3 R’s - recruiting, retaining and reward (Don’t forget to REMEMBER also)
