2 Changes in Higher Education and TVET courses to prepare for the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Digital Economy Conduct skill gap analysis in ICT Making basic competency in ICT compulsory for all tertiary and TVET students. Introduction of Cyber Security, Network Security and Information security courses in specialized tertiary institution Introduction of mechatronics at Tertiary and TVET institutions In the process of converting all TVET curricula into CBT Review the legal and regulatory environment and develop new ones

3 ICT Connectivity for Higher Education and TVET Systems
National Information Technology Agency network is available to all institutions All tertiary institutions are encouraged to be on the government-supported platform which provides bandwidth at competitive rates Institutions also belong to the consortium of academic and research libraries in Ghana that negotiates for bandwidth and provides platform for sharing library resources Individual institutions have ICT policies that cover the use of digital and internet based resources for research and teaching. Institutions have separate arrangements with internet service providers for wireless and broadband connectivity

4 Using Technology to Transform Higher Education and TVET
Establishing new TVET centers of excellence that will use VR Institutions (Tertiary and TVET) are being upgraded with state of the art equipment that uses digital technology for industry 4.0 Incorporating VR, AR, Big data, IOT and AI in program Open and distance e-learning Training and equipping teachers Tracer studies Reform of copyright/ intellectual property laws and regulation Capacity building for policy development and human resource

5 Planning ahead Approved New Tertiary Education and TVET Policy
Capacity building and infrastructural development Conduct needs assessment all tertiary/TVET institutions Collaborating ministries includes Communication, Employment and Labour, and Trade and Industry Networking Monitoring and Evaluation framework
