5. Feedback after the Event
Pupils from all events commented on how much they enjoyed it – it made them think, even if not about ‘regular’ maths work that they complete in lessons. The Year 6 pupils were ‘absolutely buzzing’ at the end of the show! Staff, including teachers from English and Humanities, said how good they thought that the shows were and how much of an impact it had on then. ‘Fantastic show…. The pupils had such a good opportunity given to them as a result of the Maths team hosting this event.

Links strengthened for pupils RE literacy and Maths (Waterstone’s supported this by attending the Year 6 induction evening to sell Murderous Maths books so pupils could get signed copies)
Links strengthened for parents RE importance of maths and the possible fun in maths through the show (again, Waterstone’s helped here with Year 6 pupils and literacy links)
Nurturing a love of learning in maths and of Maths
Providing an enriching injection into the curriculum to add to pupil momentum in their maths learning
Bringing Maths out of the faculty and onto centre stage (literally and metaphorically) in school
