Scientific method: obs, ?, hypothesis, Exp., analyze/ conclusions, test again, theory, law Scientific law- describes pattern in nature without explaining it Scientific theory- explains pattern in nature Scientific model- easy to see/ understand concept Review lab safety

“Rules”- 1st digit 1-9, x10, exponents, sig. figs. SI- International system of units (metric) Prefixes See pg 16-17 Accuracy- closeness to actual measure Precision- closeness of measurements to each other Pg 20 3 temp. conversions!

Data Tables- organize quantitative and qualitative data collected Graphs- line, bar, pie, scatter plots Communicating Data- lab reports, publish, journals, speaking, attending conferences, peer review
