Figure 2 Calculation of XCI skewing at the AR locus of the two extremely skewed cases. The peaks in blue represent PCR products amplified from the digested sample (d), and the peaks in red represent PCR products amplified from the undigested sample (u). The peak areas (main peak and shadow peak) are shown for each allele (digested and undigested). The percentage of skewing was determined using the following calculation: 100 * (d1/u1)/((d1/u1) + (d2/u2)) (7). The assay was repeated for each skewed case, and the value of the two tests was averaged. For each case, the results from one of the assay repeats are shown. (A) Extremely skewed IVF case.
