Merit Process Launch On July 29th the Workday Merit Process will launch. Managers of full-time budgeted faculty and/or staff who are eligible for merit will receive an inbox item(s) for each organization they manage and a separate action for faculty and staff. Each inbox item contains different employees, please be sure to enter merit recommendations and then submit each inbox item to the next level supervisor. Select the inbox item to begin entering merit.
3
Merit Process Performance Rating
Staff - Performance Ratings are pulled from within Workday Faculty - No action is needed in Workday but merit should NOT be awarded to faculty who do not meet performance standards outlined in the merit guidelines
4
Merit Process Recommendation
Merit recommendations can be entered as a % increase or an amount. NOTE: Amounts are monthly/hourly, not annual, and no more than 2.5% merit may be awarded.
5
Submission Once merit recommendations have been entered click submit.
Critical Errors will not allow submission of merit (ex: Does Not Meets Expectations Performance Rating) Warnings will allow submission of merit (ex: no Performance Rating entered). Merits assigned to these employees may be removed if there is no Performance Rating on file in Workday for staff or in the Provost’s office for faculty. Click the number in the lower right of the error to get more information.
