4. General thoughts for the presenter
Allow time to get through all slides, as they are not presented in order of importance, so not getting to the end may miss some key items.
People who see and understand the demo will get the best use of the product. Those who “don’t get it” and don’t see themselves using it are likely better served by another program (can’t please all the people all the time)
We’ve addressed the concerns and problems of several lawn sprinkler service businesses and we’re offering what we’ve come up with to others.
Remember to update the prospect’s database record after the session, noting as much feedback as possible for future reference.
If price is a problem, mention to prospect (and note in the prospect’s record) that we may call again with a ‘special offer’ if one becomes available.
With the product and the maintenance plan, we are in effect selling subscriptions. Not that we have to go out of our way to mention it, but if asked.

If demo includes a product installation on the Prospect’s computer, be sure to enter complete and accurate customer information on the license registration form
- because it’s unlikely the customer will go back and update it when demo is over and the product is purchased.

11. Customer information database
Background:
Customer Database is a relational database pre-defined with many fields of interest to the lawn sprinkler service business (based on actual field experience). In addition you can add “custom” fields to your customer database. Standard SQL is used to select customer database for viewing, processing, reporting, etc. You can use and extend the built-in H2OS SQL Select commands library.

14. Mapping
Background
Mapping uses a public interface to Microsoft Virtual Earth mapping service to obtain detailed street maps of work locations which can be stored with customer records.
Gotchas
You will need to test this feature on the computer that will use it. We have seen at least one case where this feature will fail (it was a Windows/2000 machine).
Microsoft Virtual Earth mapping is presently available for free on the Internet. There may come a day when this feature is no longer freely available, or Microsoft will change the interface, or something else bad will happen. In any case, we offer no guarantee that this feature will continue to work or that it will continue to be freely available.

15. Contracts Demo find a customer without an existing contract
go to the CONTRACTS tab page
page will be setup as a worksheet with default values and prices
change the information on this sheet to match the contract agreement
click SAVE -> PAID -> NEW to demo cycle
Also show:
- the REPORT button on the contracts tab page brings up a summary of contracts in the system, from which you can view all, paid or only unpaid contracts. You can also print a summary report.
- the EDIT button to view the current contract record in edit mode.
- the HISTORY button to view this customer's (and others) contract history

H2OS makes extensive use of “profiles” to store much information about your databases and use of the system.
