Tryouts start Monday, March 25th
SPRING SPORTS TRYOUTS Boys Track Girls Soccer Tryouts start Monday, March 25th 3:15 – 5:15 p.m. Softball Baseball REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL SPORTS All students wanting to try out for any sport must meet the following requirements before trying out: Students must be Academic and Conduct eligible. Must have on file at GPMS: Sports Physical completed after May 1, 2018 Concussion Training completed with a parent/guardian All middle and high school student athletes and their parent/guardian are required to complete an annual Concussion Training. Since there are sufficient differences in the way concussions are handled at the middle school and high school levels, parents having children in both middle and high schools are required to attend both a middle and a high school presentation. Face-to-Face Training: All rising 6th grade and 9th grade student athletes, as well as student athletes new to the county, are required to attend a Face-to-Face training with a Parent/Guardian. Parents and students who have already attended a face to face training may take this year’s mandatory concussion training online ( REMINDER: Parents and students, please make note of each school's Face-to-Face Training start times and arrive on time to complete the entire session. Doors will be closed once the training begins. Late arriving parents and students will not be permitted into the training once it has started. For up-to-date information on tryouts, go to the GPMS Athletics web page!! Spring Concussion Training at GPMS Limited seating. You may not enter a session late or leave early. Both student and parent/guardian must attend together. Thursday, March 14th (7:00 p.m.)
