3. The Positive Ageing Strategy
The strategy promotes a society where people can age positively and where older people are highly valued and recognised as an integral part of families and communities.
Positive ageing reflects the attitudes and experiences older people have about themselves and how younger generations view the process of ageing.
It takes into account the health, financial security, independence, self-fulfilment, personal safety and living environment of older New Zealanders.
The Positive Ageing strategy provides a framework for developing and understanding policy with implications for older people.

5. Computer Emergency Response Team
Katrina talked about some of the cyber security issues that are affecting New Zealanders’ of all ages when making connections through digital channels along with some of the challenges that comes with.  She shared some real life case studies from reports CERT NZ has received. She also provided some easy to implement cyber security tips and resources that will help to keep yourself, your organisation, and your members safe and secure online particularly when using social media and mobile phones.

Ageing in a digital world Juliana’s recent research has involved participation in interdisciplinary projects - examining older people’s interactions with organisations, and the ways in which life-courses, living standards, mobilities and identity are shaped in relation to consumption practices and choices.
