Latent Heat Objective (d) describe what is meant by the terms latent heat of fusion and latent heat of vaporisation.
2
Outcomes ALL MUST Be able to recognise on a temp-time heating curve where latent heat of fusion and latent heat of vaporisation occurs. Be able to describe what is meant by the terms latent heat of fusion and latent heat of vaporisation. Be able to explain that a rise in temperature of a body leads to an increase in internal energy. MOST SHOULD Be able to use a simple kinetic model to describe melting, boiling and evaporation. SOME COULD Be able to describe an experiment that can be used to find the latent heat of fusion.
