6. HACCP is a systematic preventive approach to food safety from biological, chemical and physical hazards in production processes that can cause the finish product to be unsafe and designs measurements to reduce these risks to a safe level
This system can be used at all stages of a food chain, from food production and preparation processes including packaging, distribution etc.
HACCP attemps to avoid hazards rather than attempting to inspect finished products fot the effects of those hazards.

ensuring that food and animal feed are safe and nutricious
ensuring high level of animal health, welfare and plant protection
ensuring adequate and tranparent information about the origin, content/labelling and use of food

8. Ways to improve food safety:
Strict controls and regular checks
Clearly defined resposibilities for all actors in agro-food chain
Food safety courses( how to deal with pests, correct handling of food types, maintain clean and sanitised work areas etc.)
