FIGURE 1 Analysis of human proacrosin activation in protein sperm extracts. Acid sperm extracts were incubated under proacrosin activation conditions for 0 (t0) and 60 (t60) minutes, and were analyzed by Western immunoblotting with antiacrosin antibody AcrC5F10. Proacrosin mature β-acrosin are indicated with arrows. Each sample was run at least two times. Protein patterns are shown of normal acrosin activity samples (lanes a, b, c, and d, from patients P4, P5, P6, and P13, respectively) and of abnormal low acrosin activity (lanes e, f, g, and h, from patients P9, P11, P16, and P25, respectively).
